God's perspective on human destiny is clear: eternal death for those who reject Christ and cling to their sins, or immortality as a reward for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior when he comes.

But then he found his way to hope. That's all. The tragedy of one man can sometimes seem as if you wipe out the heavens; however, Jesus is alive! Our hearts may be breaking a lot; however, Jesus is alive!
In Christ we have hope of life after death. He is "the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25), and he made this promise to us, "because I live, you also will live" (John 14:19). Christ is our only hope of being alive for us after our death. And Christ comes again He will give us eternal life. We will never again live under the shadow of death, because we have eternal life.
